Focusing on literacy, the Rauschenbusch Center’s Page
Turners After School program brings kids into an active and stimulating group situation and away from the television
after school ends and before parents get home from work. Volunteers and staff help children work thorough their assignments offering aid and encouragement without the answer to question number three. Page Turners is equipped with a library of over 1,000 books, new computers and newly installed high speed internet access to help kids get research done and surf with supervision. For both children and youth the homework center provides kids with a non-threatening, non-competitive work environment that will enable them to
do their best, both in and out of class.
